EPLAN Education is our free offering for your studies. EPLAN Education includes:

Free ECAD software for students

With EPLAN Education, you are ideally prepared for designing the electrical engineering of plant systems and machines. It includes EPLAN Electric P8 as well as other excellent software for various trades. For instance, discover EPLAN Preplanning for technical preplanning, EPLAN Pro Panel for panel building and control cabinet engineering in 3D, and EPLAN Fluid for hydraulic, pneumatic and other fluid-based systems. In addition to all of this, you also receive access to the EPLAN Data Portal, where you can become familiarised with components from well-known manufacturers and integrate them directly into your projects. This enhances your project work and final thesis.

We provide free EPLAN Education licences to pupils, trainees and students for private use.

Learning materials

Develop your skills on the EPLAN Platform. You will receive access to free eLearning courses for self-study. Would you prefer to complete the eLearning courses in English or Spanish? No problem! Our online tutorials are available in fourteen languages and according to two industry standards (IEC and NFPA). Each tutorial includes step-by-step instructions and a quiz so you can test and solidify what you’ve learned straight away.

Online tutorials

EPLAN has a huge community that you can access after registering at www.eplan.com. Take advantage of numerous additional tutorials from the community to expand your EPLAN skills. They include everything you need to know about block properties, terminals, connectors and cables, and EPLAN message management. You will also get to know the various solutions on the EPLAN Platform.

Certifications

Learning goes much faster when you have a clear goal in mind. Set about becoming an EPLAN Certified Student (ECS). For this certification, you will delve even deeper into the EPLAN Platform. Along with learning how to set up a project in accordance with particular standards, you will also discover how to optimally use the navigators, find errors in your project and efficiently rectify them.

Online tutorials prepare you for the certification, leading you step by step through the various topics. Above and beyond this, there are mock exams in which you can familiarise yourself with how the exams are set up and what kind of questions there will be. You can also compare your project designs with the provided solutions.
